The ‘SWAT Spot’

The ‘SWAT Spot’ and Roemah Allah Chapel, maintained by 26 Repair and Salvage Unit (26 RSU) and Padre Arthur Wilkins, 31 Squadron, RAAF on Tarakan Island in 1945.

According to the sign on the left, the SWAT Spot was ‘a place of silence for reading, writing and study’. The artillery shell hanging out the front of the tent, served as a bell.
